Original varnished watercolour 24″ x 36″ (framed)

Original watercolour on arches 300lb paper permanently mounted on 3/4″ wood panel. The surface is fully sealed with archival varnish. The deckled edges of the watercolour paper are exposed and the sides of the panel are finished in brown. The painting is float framed with a wide silver custom frame. Inspired by the arbutus trees of East Sooke Park, this magnificent tree cascades down towards the water, framing the beauty of the beach and ocean beyond. The evening light pooling on the smooth orange bark makes the tree come to life in a memorable west coast scene.

Cascade was featured in the Northwest Watercolour Society’s 80th International Open Exhibition.
