Online Winter Hydrangeas Workshop

Paint outside the lines and learn to see flowers in a whole new way!  Negative painting is the process of painting around an object to define it in the composition. Follow Jennifer through the watercolour negative painting process to create a looser floral painting based on beautiful winter blooming hydrangeas. Learn to create layered petals, leaves, and stems by capturing the intricacies of negative spaces.  Achieve effective backgrounds with depth, character, and spontaneity. Work with negative painting to create multiple layers of depth. Let your colour flow outside the shapes for gorgeous wet-in-wet effects.

Jennifer will guide students through various aspects of a completed hydrangeas project in this 4-part course, switching to paintings at varying levels of completion to show the entire painting process. The high definition recordings show a clear bird’s-eye view of the demonstration with a thumbnail of Jennifer painting. Participants can watch the steps over as many times as they like and pause the recording while they paint!

The online Winter Hydrangeas Workshop includes a digital reference photo, supply list, detailed notes package, colour mixing chart, colour mixing video, and 4 x 1 hour (approx.) high definition demonstration recordings with all the steps for a single project.  Students will have access to the online course content for 1 year from date of purchase.
