Brighter Days

Original watercolour on arches 300lb paper permanently mounted on 1 1/2″ wood panel. The surface is fully sealed with archival varnish. The deckled edges of the watercolour paper are exposed and the sides of the panel are finished in white.

Titled “Brighter Days,” this piece represents the coming of spring and the shift away from the hard, lonely winter of 2020. Sunlight streams through the glass celebrating life and beauty, yet we are still keenly aware of the isolation behind the window, looking on at the garden from inside.

Brighter Days was featured in the 2021 Sooke Fine Arts Show.
